WE WANT EUROPE IN ARTSAKH AGBU Europe has launched an appeal calling on the European Union and European aid organizations to engage with the population of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh). AGBU Armenia organized a press briefing with the participation of Artsakh Ombudsman Ruben Melikyan, AGBU Armenia director Talar Kazanjian, and AGBU Europe representatives Nicolas Tavitian and Shahnur Minasyan.

CHRIS CORNELL'S "THE PROMISE" VIDEO RELEASED Before he tragically passed away last month, Chris Cornell was determined to continue with his Promise to shed light on the plight of refugees and enduring spirit of survivors. His work with International Rescue Committee and his attachment to The Promise brought his compassion to the forefront. His final video "The Promise" has been released recently with truly touching visuals.

"FROM DOMIKS TO RESILIENT SOLUTIONS" BY TUFF ARMENIA The University of Virginia (UVa) students and faculty are working to restore residential areas of Gyumri, Armenia. Many Gyumri residents live in rundown, temporary structures called domiks. UVa's Tuff Armenia project team held their "FROM DOMIKS TO RESILIENT SOLUTIONS" presentation and photo exhibition to share the results of their research, as well as the timeline of their future activities in Gyumri's southern Domik district. AGBU ARMENIA LAUNCHES EU-FUNDED BRIDGE4CSOs PROGRAM AGBU Armenia has officially launched its BRIDGE for CSOs program implemented in partnership with the Eurasia Partnership Foundation and financed by the European Union. The three-year program with a total budget of EUR 2.2 million aims to strengthen the capacity of Armenian civil society organisations to better respond to citizens' needs.

AGBU BENEFACTOR VAHE KARAPETIAN'S PERSPECTIVE ON BRIDGING ARMENIA AND THE DIASPORA
The AGBU Vahe Karapetian Center, officially opened in June of 2014, serves as a residence for AGBU’s youth and cultural programs' participants and young researchers. This center has also been utilized by AGBU Armenia as a venue of various social and cultural events and activities.
The Center provides support and office space to the Center for Coordination of Syrian Armenian Issues NGO (CCSAI) and houses the AGBU Claudia Nazarian Medical Center, a free walk-in polyclinic offering gynecology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and pediatrics services.

AGBU YSIP 2017 KICKED OFF AGBU's Yerevan Summer Internship Program 2017 kicked off with an orientation session at AGBU Armenia. 28 students from around the world will spend six weeks in Armenia interning in some of the best companies and organizations in Yerevan.

AGBU ARMENIAN VIRTUAL COLLEGE ANNOUNCES SUMMER TERM - 2017 The AGBU Armenian Virtual College is pleased to announce Summer Term 2017. The classes start on July 24, 2017. The courses offered are Eastern and Western Armenian Languages, Armenian History, Armenian Culture (Architecture and Music) and Chess. The courses are available in multiple levels and in seven languages of instruction.

AGBU PERFORMING ARTS DEPARTMENT HOLDS BENEFIT CONCERT FOR MUSIC SCHOOLS IN ARTSAKH “What Have You Done for Artsakh?” benefit concert held at the Yamaha Piano Salon in New York featured mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian; violinist Sami Merdinian; as well as pianist and AGBU Performing Arts Department director Hayk Arsenyan, and boasted a varied program with traditional Armenian pieces and lullabies alongside Argentine tangos and Afro-Cuban dances.
