ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRAINING FOR OMBUDSMAN'S OFFICE AND MEDIA With a trilateral agreement signed in November 2016 by the RA Human Rights Defender, the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) and the American University of Armenia (AUA), more than 40 staff members at the Human Rights Defender’s office and local media representatives received intensive English language training.

SEMIFINALS REVEAL THE BEST SCHOOL CHESS TEAMS FROM ALL OVER ARMENIA The semifinals, otherwise called the regional round, of the Republican Interschool Chess Tournament took place in Yerevan and all the regions of Armenia between March 20 and April 12. IT FORUM IN SILICON VALLEY HOSTED PRESIDENT-ELECT ARMEN SARKISSIAN AGBU Central Board members Dr. Armen Sarkissian, the President-elect of Armenia, and Dr. Yervant Zorian, Chief Architect of Synopsys Corporation and chairman of AGBU - Silicon Valley, were the guests of the IT forum at Synopsys HQ organized by AGBU-Young Professionals of Northern California (AGBU-YPNC). Sarkissian stressed the importance of making Armenia a hub for emerging technologies and encouraged the IT community of Silicon Valley to help build Armenia’s future on new tech applied to fields of education, health and science.
