BRIDGE BETWEEN ARMENIA AND DIASPORA: ARMEN SARKISSIAN VISITS AGBU ARMENIA
AGBU Armenia hosted the presidential candidate and AGBU Central Board member Armen Sarkissian. In a meeting with local benevolent and charity organizations, Sarkissian urged them to seek national dialogue in Armenia and encouraged benevolent structures to enhance cooperation and coordination of efforts with the state and the society to achieve maximum impact.

Bringing Real Impact with Diaspora Global Engagement
BRIDGE FOR CSO's CONTINUES CAPACITY BUILDING EFFORTS
Bridge for CSOs program continues capacity building efforts of Armenian civil society organizations. The education policy training was designed based on the needs identified by Armenian CSOs in 2017. The topics covered included education policy, reform, research and teaching methodologies. Representatives of 25 organizations attended the three-days training.

Media representatives, intellectuals, public and political figures gathered at AGBU Armenia to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Constantinople's "Zhamanak" newspaper, which despite numerous challenges managed to survive and uninterruptedly carry out its mission. Read more here.

AGBU Armenia launched the series of events dedicated to the Year of Francophonie in Armenia. "Astghikner" children's choir opened the series with an evening of French and Armenian folk songs. Discovering the open and close pages of Istanbul-based Armenian boy Murat at the screening of the young award-winning filmmakers Marine and Sona Kocharyans' second documentary "Murat" at AGBU Armenia.

CARNET DE VOYAGE  
AGBU Exhibitions started 2018 with Carnet de Voyage, a solo show of works by Marina “ANIRAMSKY” Fedorovsky (Paris, France). Carnet de Voyage represented the sketches, drawings, watercolors and photographs recorded over the course of Marina’s stay in Armenia since September, 2017.

NAGORNO-KARABAKH & THE EU: CONFERENCE AT THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT  
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Karabakh Movement, European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) and AGBU Europe organized a conference on February 28 in the European Parliament, where the Members of the Parliament and experts on the subject discussed the past and the future of the EU engagement with Nagorno-Karabakh and possible proposals to enhance the EU’s impact in the area.

ARTSAKH - 30: DAVID HAKOBYAN'S PHOTO EXHIBITION AT AGBU HQ
Giving tribute to 30 years of Artsakh Movement, photographer Davit Hakobyan exhibited his photos of the Artsakh military at AGBU HQ in New York, with proceeds from the sales going towards the AGBU Artsakh Fund.
