INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ART EXHIBITION 2018
AGBU Armenia supported Shaula International to bring the ICAE 2018 to Armenia and was one of the seven venues hosting the exhibition for a whole month. Watch the interview with artist Walid Siti (Kurdistan/UK) to learn about his site-specific installation "Stone Tales".

ART AND BUSINESS SYMPOSIUM

Art and Business Symposium organized by AGBU Armenia and Shaula International brought together international experts for two full days of inspiring presentations and moderated panel discussions addressing the art market from different perspectives, as well as investigating how to lay the groundwork for the art market in Armenia and how to improve access to the global platforms by cultivating global know-how. YEREVAN-2800 WITH ARTCONCEPT

As part of the Yerevan-2800 events, AGBU Armenia and ArtConcept held a series of events including "Yerevan: Old Writings, New Sound" literature and music evening and a forum entitled "Yerevan: Old and New Perspectives" addressing the perspectives of Yerevan in the beginning of the previous century, its development and the challenges Yerevan faced after the independence and in the era of capitalization.

BRIDGE FOR CSOs: AZAD CHICHMANIAN

We were lucky to host Azad Chichmanian, the lead architect behind the famous project of the Nouveau Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM). Through AGBU's BRIDGE for CSOs proejct, Azad became a Goodwill Ambassador for ARDIscope, an initiative group of young Armenian architects. Azad provided feedback to fresh graduates on their Urban Renewal projects and held a stunning presentation about the recent projects he worked on in Canada.

AVC PARTNERS WITH EDUCATION AND DIASPORA MINISTRIES

Armenia's acting Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan and Dr. Yervant Zorian, Founder and President of AGBU Armenian Virtual College (AVC), met at AVC to discuss their possible partnership on introducing new methods of education in Armenian schools. Earlier that day, another partnership agreement was signed between AVC and RA Ministry of Diaspora.

An evening of networking, discovery and engagement united AGBU scholarship recipients and internship participants from the American University of Armenia and the French University of Armenia. Education has always been one of the pillars of AGBU's activities worldwide and we're proud to have supported so many bright and talented students, who come to build the future of our country and our nation.

MITCHELL LONG PERFORMED AT AGBU ARMENIA

Acclaimed concert performer and studio musician Mitchell Long performed at AGBU Armenia with talented Armenian jazz musicians Artyom Manukyan, Armen Hyusnunts, Vahagn Hakobyan and Narek Khechumyan.
