CONVERSE BANK OFFERS SUPPORT TO AGBU "WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS" PROJECT

Converse Bank will provide a customized package of priviliged banking services and consultations to the participants of the AGBU Women Entrepreneurs (W.E.) project.
Since 2017, AGBU W.E. project has trained, consulted and funded 70 women to start or scale up their businesses in food production, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, arts and crafts, and other sectors.

AGBU-YSU-MoD COOPERATION TO GET NEW IMPETUS
The Faculty of Oriental Studies of YSU hosted the representatives of the RA Ministry of Defense and the Armenian General Benevolent Union to discuss the scope of current cooperation
aimed at the development of different directions of Oriental Studies that are in the focus of attention of state bodies.

NEW MEDICAL SERVICE AT AGBU CLAUDIA NAZARIAN CLINIC

AGBU Claudia Nazarian Medical Center expands its outpatient services by offering ENT (ear-nose-throat) care on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10:30-13:30.
AGBU Claudia Nazarian Medical Center provides free of charge quality medical service to Armenians, who moved to their homeland from Syria.

CHESS COMES TO TSAGHKADZOR
The town of Tsaghkadzor, Armenia, hosted two major chess events sponsored by AGBU in May.
Intense and relentless struggle revealed the winners of the 13th Republican Interschool Chess Tournament, while FIDE representatives from 20 countries got together for “Current State and Development Trends of Chess Education” international conference.

AGBU ARMENIA HOSTED FRENCH-ARMENIAN GEOPOLITICIAN GERARD CHALIAND

A hot discussion followed French-Armenian geopolitician and armed conflicts expert Gerard Chaliand's lecture entitled "Armenians Between 1918-2019: A Global Overview", a joint initiative of the French Embassy in Armenia, the French University of Armenia and AGBU.

CIVIL SOCIETY TALKS: SOCIAL PROTECTION
AGBU's EU funded "BRIDGE for CSOs" project continues the series of Civil Society Talks, this time uncovering the challenges of Social Protection in Armenia. The speakers at the panel discussion were Marina Parazyan from "Source" foundation, Jina Sargizova from Swiss Red Cross, Susanna Tadevosyan from "Bridge of Hope" NGO, Armen Alaverdyan from "Unison" NGO, and Zhanna Andreasyan from the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Issues.

RENDEZVOUS AT AGBU WITH SALVATORE DE MOLA
Embassy of Italy in Armenia and Sudestival Italian Film Festival, in partnership with AGBU Armenia, organized a Master Class entitled "Inspector Montalbano: From Novel to Film" by famous Italian scriptwriter and producer Salvatore De Mola.


JAZZ WITH ARTUR GRIGORYAN QUINTET

The Artur Grigoryan Quintet performed at AGBU Armenia presenting their new jazz compositions. The new CD of the band is ready and will soon be available for purchase.

LEO LEO VARDANYAN: FROM MY WINDOW

With his photographic project “From My Window”, Leo Leo Vardanyan establishes a controlled environment to explore formal elements and their symbolic meanings.
The principal subject of the series is not the view from Leo’s bedroom window, but rather the translucence of the curtain, its movement in the summer wind, and the changing hues of light that filter through depending on the time of day.

MEETING WITH VERONIKA DZHIEOVA

Upon the invitation of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, AGBU Armenia hosted a meeting with famous soprano Veronika Dzhieova. " I'm glad I'll be singing in this glorious country for this wonderful audience. I've always admired the Armenian people and I've met many talented Armenian musicians during my career," said Dzhieova
announcing her upcoming concert to be held on June 24 in Yerevan.

CELEBRATING THE 150TH ANNIVERSARIES OF HOVHANNES TUMANYAN AND KOMITAS WITH AVC

Armenian schools and communities in Switzerland, Bulgaria, Russia, Syria, Lebanon, Australia, New Zealand and Canada joined AGBU Armenian Virtual College for the celebration of the 150th anniversaries of Hovhannes Tumanyan and Komitas.
