While considerable progress has been made to improve access to education throughout Armenia, most schools are still challenged with access to resources, overcrowded classrooms, lack of standardized curriculum and little access to teacher training. AGBU Children's Centers offer a safe haven for interest exploration focusing on improving skills and self-esteem with a well-rounded supplemental curricula. Programs like this one ensure that youth are supported and encouraged to pursue their interests and continue their educational path to success.
The Afterschool Reimagined campaign is a facilities renewal initiative in Armenia designed to enhance our three AGBU Children’s Centers. These centers were established in partnership with Holy Etchmiadzin in 1993 and have shaped the lives of thousands since. With your help, the conditions for learning can be upgraded to increase accommodations from 1,700 students to 4,000. The capital enhancements will also create the right conditions for the second phase of the effort—to expand curricula and enhance teaching tools in line with best practices in the arts, sports and athletics.
