Bringing afterschool enrichment to children and teens for over 25 years, the AGBU Children's Centers in Nork, Malatya and Arapkir regions around Yerevan, Armenia, are a longstanding joint initiative with the Holy See of Etchmiadzin*. With a focus on the arts and athletics, the centers provide activities such as music, dance, gymnastics, visual arts, martial arts, swimming and more. Classes in language instruction, history, religion and computer technologies are also offered.
Over 1,700 students benefit each year from access to caring and attentive teachers and a curriculum proven to help build confidence, foster creativity, and positively impact the overall wellbeing of each child. With plans to expand enrollment to 4,000 over the next few years, AGBU is committed to turning afterschool learning into one of the most valuable investments in the future of our youth in Armenia.
*Holy Etchmiadzin administers and manages additional centers in Vanadzor and Holy Etchmiadzin, which are funded by other sources.
