The Creative Armenia-AGBU Fellowship is a one-of-a-kind opportunity of strategic support awarded to powerful creators defining the cultural future of Armenia and Artsakh. During the course of one year, fellows gain access to industry connections, developing and promoting their projects through one-on-one mentorships and workshops. A $5,000 grant is also provided to each fellow. The fellowships are open to artists of Armenian origin and those who have a demonstrated interest in Armenian culture.

Yes. So long as your works relate in some way to themes or subjects relevant to Armenian culture.
No. You can apply from anywhere in the world. Mandatory meetings will take place online, although optional events will be ongoing in Yerevan.
You are free to spend the stipend as you need. But we do require “first look” at any projects we help you with during this fellowship. That means Creative Armenia and AGBU should be given the opportunity to produce or invest in the project before you share it with others.
In addition to attending scheduled meetings, we expect our fellows to participate actively in our creative community. That may involve pitching content, leading a workshop, or mentoring emerging artists. We expect our fellows to become leaders of our creative community and cultural ambassadors for the Armenian people.
We’ll consider you alumni of Creative Armenia and AGBU - and cultural ambassadors for the Armenian people. You’ll have access to our networks and priority consideration for our other programs. We’ll work together to develop and promote Armenian culture.
The Fellowships represent the first collaboration of AGBU and Creative Armenia, which entered into a strategic partnership in May 2018. Creative Armenia, a global arts foundation for the Armenian people, pursues a mandate to discover, develop, promote, and produce innovative talent.
