The History and Activities of the AGBU Nubar Library
Dr. Boris Adjemian, Director of the AGBU Nubar Library in Paris, explores the history of this unique institution. In founding the library almost a century ago in 1928, the leaders of AGBU intended to create a place of memory where they could preserve what could be saved from the destroyed Armenian heritage of the Ottoman Empire. Over the years the Library has grown into a center for research and active participation in the life of the diaspora. Today, the library continues to expand its activities and academic endeavors to advance the ever-evolving field of Armenian studies.
