LEAP | AGBU

AGBU LEAP is a dynamic professional development initiative dedicated to providing displaced Artsakh refugees with professional consultancy, guidance, reskilling, and upskilling opportunities. In line with educational prospects, participants will actively engage in AGBU job fairs, designed to connect them with employment or self-entrepreneurship possibilities. The program is open to our compatriots from Artsakh, aged 18 and above.

Launched in 2019 in Artsakh, the program helped locals with a variety of educational backgrounds and skill sets to improve their livelihoods, advance their careers in key industries, and compete in the regional and global economy.

Impact:

Before 2023, over 80% of past AGBU LEAP participants had remained in Artsakh, committed to furthering their livelihood and investing in the development of industry growth and rebuilding.

As a beekeeper, I know how to live off the land. As a participant in AGBU LEAP, I learned how to take this knowledge and run a more efficient and successful business. After the course, I received a grant which helped me purchase a honey strainer, thirteen beehives and seven bee families, allowing me to scale up my operations. I am grateful to AGBU for this opportunity.
