In the hospitals, there was a shortage of everything, from linens to medications. Thanks to her recent training with AGBU LEAP, Khachatryan knew to stay calm and make quick decisions in the critical situation. Her care and professionalism reduced the burden on the remaining hospital staff.

Anahit Aveti (née Avetian) had one true bliss in life—an uncommon hobby for an Iranian-Armenian chemist and entrepreneur living in Los Angeles. In addition to her abiding love for family and friends, it was Flamenco that captured her heart.

Yet there is one more designer who stands tall among the pioneers of the early 1950s, when the momentum for modernism took hold on a global scale, offering the masses a fresh alternative to the more ornate and classical forms of interior decor. His name is Ruben Eshkanian, a master weaver, fiber artist, and textile designer.
